Rosemary Brown (June 17, 1930--April 26, 2003) was a social worker and politician. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she migrated to Canada in 1951. Brown was the first Black Canadian woman to be elected to a Canadian provincial legislature. She also was integral to the foundation of the British Columbia Association for the Advancement of Coloured People.
